Market view
The corridor programme includes numerous projects in all strategic areas - interoperability,
eliminating infrastructure bottlenecks and the total service concept. Priority is given to those
projects that offer a great potential for improvement while needing the least possible investment.
For example, simplifying border clearance procedures can bring great time savings for very little
investment. Regular reviews by the Corridor Organisation of the progress being made in quality and
performance capability can facilitate further improvements. This helps to improve efficiency even
further and to make full use of the economic and ecological potential, which consists in particular
in generating additional traffic.
The entire corridor programme (all countries, all infrastructure managers, all measures) consists
of approx. 25 billion Euro. As from 2025, it will generate great socio-economic profit from the
savings in external costs.
- European corridor programme: approx. 25 billion Euro
